Best Practices
-From the very beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Mercedes-Benz Ottawa Downtown has been committed to supporting you by providing the service you have come to expect while taking reasonable precautions to ensure the ongoing health and safety of our employees, our customers and our community.
-We developed best practices and safety precautions based on recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Ottawa Public Health, and both the Federal and Provincial governments. We also look to Mercedes-Benz Canada, the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC), the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) and the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) for guidance and direction on an ongoing basis and will continue to adjust our actions as necessary.
Cleaning and Safety
-Cleaning the premises remains a priority and to do this certain measures have been implemented:
-Enhanced daily cleaning and disinfecting utilizing a hospital-grade, broad spectrum disinfectant
-Soap, hand sanitizers and paper towel are available throughout the dealership
-Common areas, frequently touched surfaces, keys, and other hot spots are disinfected on a schedule or after use
-All vehicles are disinfected before and after customer or employee use with focus on frequently touched surfaces steering wheels and seats are covered with single use plastic coverings on all service vehicles
-Employees are provided with disposable gloves
-We are adhering to strict physical distancing guidelines and ask our customers to do the same
-Employees are assigned to teams which work on alternate days to help maintain a safe working environment
-All employees and guests are to wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival at the dealership
-Employees have been given the information they need to stay healthy and have been asked to remain at home if they are feeling ill. They are to inform management and self-quarantine if they have been in contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Limited Travel
All business travel for Mercedes-Benz Ottawa Downtown employees has been cancelled until further notice.
We want you to continue to feel comfortable visiting Mercedes-Benz Ottawa Downtown. All persons entering or remaining in these premises must wear a mask that securely that covers the nose, mouth, and chin as required by the medical officer of health under the authority of the Emergency Management of Civil Protection Act (EMCPA) Ontario Regulation 263/20.
