Sometime this fall, Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts will have the chance to get their hands on the automaker’s all-new compact SUV. Mixing style and urban sports car elements with that of a more rugged off-road vehicle, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is bound to be a crowd-pleaser.

With a top speed of 250 km/h, and the ability to still provide exceptional fuel economy, the 2015 GLA practically demands to be driven. In addition, this engine is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with three shift modes. Buyers of the SUV can expect a mixture of fuel-efficient performance, smooth driving, and quick acceleration along with instant shifts when switching between modes. A less powerful yet more fuel-efficient four-cylinder option is also offered.
Those intrigued by the automaker’s sleek-looking SUV can also opt for the new generation 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system that will enhance traction, agility, and driving safety. And consumers should also note that all 4MATIC models include a standard off-road transmission mode and Downhill Speed Regulator for tough descents.
Finally, if safety is a concern, the new 2015 GLA offers several driving assistance systems, such as Attention Assist that detects drowsiness, and Collision Prevention Assist with adaptive Brake Assist that is radar-based, and serves to protect the driver against collisions. In addition, the system will begin to work from a speed of only 7 km/h.
