Unveiled last year, the all-new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is one of the most technologically-advanced cars not only in its segment but in the entire automotive industry. This may seem like an exaggeration, but the reality is that the new E-Class offers several technologies that are not found on any other car, even high-end prestige models.
Power and refinement in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E 400 4Matic
As with many models in the Mercedes-Benz range, there are several versions available in the E-Class family. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E400 4Matic is currently an in-between between the entry-level Mercedes-Benz E 300, and the AMG models.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E 400 4Matic is available starting at $ 69,400 and is powered by a 3.0-liter, V6 engine that delivers 329 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque. The power is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and the 4Matic system. The E400 can reach 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
Inside, the new E 400 4Matic offers several comfort and connectivity technologies, starting with the impressive 12.3-inch instrumentation panel that extends to the top of the center console.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E 400 4Matic stands out in terms of its safety technologies as the car is able to avoid accidents in all sorts of ways, in addition to basically driving on its own. Indeed, the Mercedes-Benz E 400 has several semi-autonomous driving technologies included in the DRIVE PILOT device. The car is able to maintain a straight trajectory by itself, navigate curves, and even change lanes automatically when the turn signal is activated.
