The Active Brake Assist system will monitor the road to warn the driver of any potential danger and warn the driver if there’s a vehicle or object that brakes suddenly ahead. If the driver doesn’t apply appropriate pressure to the brakes, the system will supplement the braking force to guarantee optimal braking. If the driver doesn’t brake at all, the system will automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision.
Inside the redesigned GLA, we find two centre 7.0-inch display screens housing Mercedes-Benz’ new MBUX infotainment system. Short for Mercedes-Benz User Experience, MBUX is like your personal assistant in the vehicle. Using the voice command “Hey Mercedes”, you can communicate vocally with the system to change or modify different functions like climate controls and audio options.
In terms of luxury features, the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA features power front seats with 3-position memory, THERMOTRONIC automatic climate controls, remote start using the Mercedes me mobile app, heated front seats, Smart key with KEYLESS-START, and ARTICO upholstery.
