2023 Mercedes-AMG C 43: inspired by Formula 1

The C-Class is getting a facelift this year at Mercedes-Benz and it's time to celebrate. The same goes for the C 43 performance variant that emanates from the workshops of the AMG division.
In fact, they've pushed the envelope this year with a car that's even more interesting, this time thanks to some very advanced, Formula 1-inspired technologies.

New from A to Z
In addition to a spectacular new design, the new C 43 AMG gets a new powertrain this year. No, it's not a bigger engine under the hood, but a smaller one. The 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder that used to offer 385 horsepower is now replaced by a 402-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder.
More powerful, really? Yes, because a technology borrowed from Formula 1 makes all the difference. In concrete terms, an electric motor has been added to the turbo. Its role is to make the compressor turn faster, all for a more optimal performance.
A lightweight 48-volt hybrid system is also included, providing low-end assistance when needed. A nine-speed automatic transmission manages power delivery to all four wheels.
An adaptive suspension, as well as directional rear wheels, are also on the menu with this 2023 AMG C 43.
Interior
Inside, the environment is just as rich as in the new C-Class, but the materials used, as well as the presentation, are sportier. The interior features carbon fiber appliqués, metallic surfaces and leatherette with suede accents on the seats.
The steering wheel has a very sporty style and a flat bottom. As for the equipment, it is of course very rich, but since Mercedes-Benz likes to offer a wide range of options, it is possible to create a model to your liking by adding items such as a Burmester audio system, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging for cellular devices, sport seats, a panoramic roof, as well as wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications.
