Another month of record sales in February for Mercedes-Benz
March 27 2017,
Mercedes-Benz set a new record for a month of February last month with 3,964 sales, 16.6% more than during the same period a year ago. Since the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz and its various divisions have registered 7,716 units, a gain of 22% compared to the first two months of 2016.
Several models contributed to the success of Mercedes-Benz in February, starting with the compact C-Class sedan, which saw its sales jump by 69.6%. The CLA, the B-Class and the new E-Class also did very well, as did the Mercedes-Benz GLC, which saw its sales explode by 89.9%. The G-Class continued its momentum, which seems to never want to fade away, registering a sales increase of 72.5%.
“February was an exciting month for Mercedes-Benz Canada,” said Brian D. Fulton, President and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “The Canadian International AutoShow served as a good backdrop for the Canadian launch of the smart fortwo electric drive coupe, Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe, Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster, and of course the powerful Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ Sedan. The Mercedes-Benz Vans division was on track to post record-breaking results, and the popularity of the C-Class and GLC boosted our results as well as our competitive spirit. Plus, the G-Class and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter earned category wins in the Canadian Black Book’s Best Retained Value Awards. I’m pleased that the hard work of our dealers and employees has allowed us to maintain our first-place standing among Canadian luxury manufacturers. With more high-demand product coming in to satisfy the needs of our customers, I know our team is well-equipped to push for a strong first quarter finish.”
