Five incredible technologies from the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
July 31 2017,
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the flagship car from German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz. It is therefore normal that it is the model that is packed with the most comfort, safety and connectivity technologies. With its many driving assistance devices and its radar and camera system, which also uses GPS-collected data for 2018, the Mercedes-Benz is able to anticipate accidents, prevent them, and adapt to the road to provide an even more comfortable and pleasant driving behavior for the driver.
Here are five stunning technologies that we find in the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
ENERGIZING Comfort
The ENERGIZING Comfort system takes control of the seat heating and ventilation systems as well as interior lighting, seat massage function, air conditioning and even the audio system to create different "moods" in the car. There is also a Training function that dictates different training exercises that you can do while driving your vehicle in order to stay loose and in shape.
Pre-Safe Sound
The noise caused by an accident can damage our ears. Mercedes-Benz has developed a system called Pre-Safe Sound that emits a sound at the same time as the noise of the accident occurs to protect your ears.
Automatic parking
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is able to park itself perpendicular or parallel in fully autonomous way and without the intervention of the driver. It can also exit the parking space, and apply the brakes if necessary if another vehicle approaches.
Automatic lane change
The Active Lane Changing Assist technology takes control of the steering wheel by changing lanes for you as soon as you activate the turn signal. Of course, the car makes sure to check that the road is clear.
Adapting its speed automatically
This technology, known as Active Distance Control DISTRONIC, uses data captured by the GPS system, among other systems, in order to anticipate the approaching turns and automatically modify the speed of the vehicle so as to approach the curve safely and without forcing the driver to interfere. In combination with automatic steering, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is able to take turns autonomously.
