How to Charge your New 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV
January 10 2023,
If you've just taken delivery of your brand-new EQS SUV, congratulations! You're now the proud owner of one of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the road today. But before you hit the open road, there's one more thing you need to do: charge it up! Here's a quick guide on how to do just that.
Charging Port Location
First things first: let's find the charging port. On the EQS SUV, it's located on the right-hand side of the vehicle, just behind the rear wheel, exactly where you would, previously, put some gas. Once you've located it, open the flap, and you'll see a standard Type 2 connector.
Connecting the Charger
Now it's time to connect your charger. If you don't have one already, don't worry - every EQS SUV comes with a Level 1 home charger that can be plugged into any standard 120-volt outlet. Simply connect the charger to your vehicle and then plug it into the wall outlet. The charging process will begin automatically. To ensure a quicker charge, you should invest in a Level 2 charger - an additional purchase that will prove well worth it.
Monitoring Progress
Once charging has begun, you can monitor progress in a few different ways. First, there's a digital display on the instrument panel that will show you how much charge is remaining and an estimated time to full charge. Alternatively, you can download the Mercedes me app onto your smartphone and monitor progress from there.
And that's all there is to it! With a little bit of planning ahead, charging your EQS SUV is a quick and easy process. For more information on charging or any other aspect of your new vehicle, be sure to consult your owner's manual or visit our Mercedes-Benz dealership, where it will be our pleasure to assist you.
