Mercedes-Benz sets new sales records in 2015

Mercedes-Benz had yet another great year in 2015, selling 44,526 units, an increase of 9.8 % over 2014. Passenger cars and light trucks were also up by a considerable amount, 14.9%, while Mercedes-AMG sales grew by a whopping 51.2 %.
Of the nearly 45,000 vehicles sold by the German automaker last year, 95.8 % were equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, a tribute to the all-weather performance of Mercedes-Benz’ AWD system. Diesel engines also proved quite popular and accounted for 71 % of the sales of vehicles offering BlueTEC engines.
The new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class performed very well with an increase of 50.7 % in sales while the GLA also did very well with a total of 3,719 units sold. The new GLE, formerly the M-Class, saw its sales increase by 6 %.
