Mercedes-Benz Unveils an Autonomous Minivan for Tokyo
October 28 2015,
Mercedes-Benz is preparing a particularly unique minivan for the Tokyo Motor Show. Called the Vision concept, the German manufacturer calls it a "progressive luxury" autonomous minivan. Mercedes-Benz hasn’t given many details, but we know that the concept in question will have that “large and in charge” supplemented by rather large wheels, but always with that typical Mercedes-Benz refinement.
The lateral opening on the side of the vehicle opens in a “split” design while the windscreen seems to wrap around the front of the Vision concept. In short, from a design point of view, the concept will be like the other models presented by the manufacturer in the last couple of months. Although styling is futuristic, it remains functional and there is a good chance we will see some styling cues in future Mercedes-Benz models.
Technologically, it would be really interesting to get an autonomous driving luxury minivan with the technologies we are used to from Mercedes-Benz.
We will know more when the Tokyo Motor Show opens on October 28!
