After reaching a new sales record for the first quarter of 2017, German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz continued its momentum with sales of 4,355 units in April, an increase of 2.9 percent compared to the same month in 2016.
Many new Mercedes-Benz vehicles see their sales increase
There are several new Mercedes-Benz models that contributed to the German automaker’s sales success last month. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz C Class, for example, saw its sales jump 61.2 percent. In total, sales of Mercedes-Benz C-Class models have increased by more than 40 percent since the beginning of the year. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class as well as the S-Class also saw their sales increase.
Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicles also enjoyed great success last month. The GLC, in particular, saw its sales increase, as did the high-end Mercedes-Benz GLS whose sales increased by 23.6 percent.
“After a strong first quarter, our momentum remains steady as Canadians continue to recognize the impressive design, safety and technology of our passenger vehicles,” said Brian D. Fulton, President and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “Mercedes-Benz Canada is more than just its sales totals, however: it’s an organization that cares deeply for its employees. I couldn’t be more pleased that we have been recognized this month by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. Our recent nomination as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada is a testament to the effort we’ve made to ensure that our commitment to best customer experience applies not only to our customers, but to our employees as well.”
