2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC: Best New Premium SUV according to AJAC
The newly introduced Mercedes-Benz GLC won the title of best new SUV awarded by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada this year. This is a great honor for the GLC, which testifies to its quality, especially when compared to other models in the same segment.
Offered in two versions starting with the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic, the new GLC is powered out of the gate by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 241 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine allows the GLC 300 to reach 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds with an average fuel consumption rating of 8.5 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. The engine is paired exclusively with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Recently introduced, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic is the model you need if performance is a priority for you. With its 362 horsepower and 384 lb.-ft. of torque, the GLC 43 reaches 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Accelerations are accompanied by an aggressive and extremely pleasant sound.
In terms of cargo space, the Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 offers between 550 liters and 1,600 liters of cargo capacity. Towing capacity is set at 1.558 kilograms.
