The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE Lineup
October 20 2022,
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in a number of different versions that create a lineup of luxurious and fun-to-drive mid-size SUVs.
The GLE
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is a luxurious and practical premium SUV that can comfortably carry up to seven passengers or 2,056 liters of cargo. This means that even large families can fit in a GLE with all of the luggage they need for a weekend away from home. The 2023 GLE is offered with two powertrains: a 2.0L turbocharged engine in the GLE 350 and a mild hybrid 3.0L inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine in the GLE 450. The first engine delivers 255 horsepower and fuel consumption figures of only 8,9 L/100 km on the highway. The second engine is aimed at drivers who want a sportier SUV, with its 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system as standard.
The GLE Coupe
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is a sleeker version of the GLE that is aimed at drivers who like to make a statement with their vehicle. The lower roofline of the GLE Coupe makes it look sportier and more distinctive, which is also why it is only available with the six-cylinder engine in GLE 450 version. This also means that it has slightly less cargo space than the regular GLE, but its 1,790-liter capacity behind the front seats is still more than enough for most drivers.
The AMG versions
Both the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE and 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe are available in two AMG variants that offer more performance and more exclusivity than the regular GLE models. The GLE 53 AMG version is powered by a more powerful version of the mild-hybrid inline-six-cylinder engine found in the GLE 350. This powertrain produces 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, which makes it possible to accelerate to 100 km/h in only 5,3 seconds. For the ultimate in GLE performance, the GLE 63 S AMG is equipped with a twin-turbocharged mild hybrid 4,0L V8 engine that delivers 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, making it possible to reach 100 km/h from 0 in only 3,8 seconds.
