The Differences Between the Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe
March 17 2022,
Mercedes-Benz offers two distinctive versions of the GLE, one that focuses on practicality and the other, on style.
Two different shapes
The Mercedes-Benz GLE and the GLE Coupe are two midsize SUVs that share their platform and many of their components, while being very different in terms of looks and personality. The GLE is a more traditional SUV which focuses on comfort and practicality, while the GLE Coupe is, as its name suggests, a coupe-like version of the regular GLE. This means that this model emphasises style and dynamics. The GLE Coupe is also very distinctive since its roofline in particular is like no other, which allows it to stand out in traffic and on the open road. This also means that the regular GLE has more cargo space, so if you regularly need to transport large objects, this could be the best version for you.
Different engine choices
The Mercedes-Benz GLE and the GLE Coupe are offered with a couple of different powertrain options that all suit a different need. The entry level version of the GLE, the GLE 350 4Matic is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that develops 255 horsepower while limiting its fuel consumption to an impressive 8.9 L/ 100 km on the highway. This engine is a great addition to the lineup since it is very fuel efficient and powerful This powertrain is exclusive to the regular GLE since the GLE Coupe is only offered with a choice of the 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine in the GLE 450 or a more powerful version of the same engine that is used int the AMG 53. This model is able to deliver 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of toque, which is enough to provide accelerations that take only about 5.3 seconds between 0 and 100 km/h.
