Three ways the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE stands out from its competition
December 25 2019,
Completely redesigned this year, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE has been improved in every possible way over the previous generation. More spacious, more efficient and a lot more comfortable, the new GLE is one of the best mid-size luxury SUVs in its segment. It may even be the best. Here’s how the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE stands out in its segment.
Its impressive technology
Mercedes-Benz has always been an innovative company when it comes to comfort and safety technologies. The GLE offers the entire range of advanced safety technology including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function, Active Blind Spot Assist, PRE-SAFE Plus, and a lot more. There are very few vehicles on the road if any that offer the GLE’s 360-degree driver assistance capability in every possible driving situation.
The new GLE is also available with an Airmatic suspension and a new technology from Mercedes-Benz called E-ACTIVE Body Control. The system modulates damping and suspension settings to preserve the vehicle’s stability on rough or uneven terrain, or when going over bumps and potholes in order to enhance confidence and comfort. Other technologies such as MBUX are also offered.
Its wide range of engine options
The Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered out of the gate with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The other option is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder with 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Other engines coming soon include two new AMG powertrains and a new GLE 580 model with 483 horsepower.
Its comfort
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE is by far the most comfortable mid-size luxury SUV on the market. It’s refined in every way on the road, quiet, and quite spacious as well.
