Understanding Mercedes-Benz MBUX technology
April 30 2020,
MBUX technology entered the Mercedes-Benz family last year after being presented at CES in Las Vegas in 2018. CES is the number one destination for cutting-edge and innovative technology in all areas, and it was the perfect place to showcase technology as advanced as Mercedes-Benz’ MBUX technology.
MBUX or Mercedes-Benz User Experience technology is a user experience-based infotainment system. It is a system built into a 10.25-inch touchscreen that can also be controlled by a touchpad or by steering wheel controls. That said, the most interesting thing about MBUX technology is that it can be controlled by voice using easy and natural commands.
By using the "Hey Mercedes" command, you will be automatically connected to the car and you will then be able to "chat" with the system. For example, if you find it cold inside, you can just say "Hey Mercedes, it's cold in the vehicle" and the system will automatically adjust the climate controls.
The system also adapts to driver preferences over time with advanced artificial intelligence features. The AI system highlights the features you use most often to simplify the onboard experience.
