2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA vs. 2022 GLA: know what you need to know to make the right choice

The Mercedes-Benz product line is certainly one of the most complete in the industry. So much so that it can become difficult to choose, as some models are not strangers due to their similar format or names.
This is the case with the 2022 CLA and GLA.
Here's what you need to know about the two to differentiate them, and then choose wisely.
Interior design
There are similarities between the interior design of our two stars, but there are also important differences. As for the things that are similar, the layout is obviously very recognizable, as is the level of equipment that we find with each of the variants. Where the distinction is stronger is with the space available in the rear seats, as well as the cargo volume for piling up equipment.
First, let's deal with the second row of seats. Climbing into the GLA, you'll find that there's more headroom and it's easier to stretch your legs. So if you're going to be carrying a lot of passengers in the back, you're going to find more to like in this model. It's very decent with the CLA, but you get a slightly smaller environment.
Then, when we analyze the cargo volume available to us in the back, it's clear that the GLA has a small advantage. This is obviously due to its hatchback configuration. Basically, when the second row seats are folded down, the cargo volume is freed up to 1430 liters. With the seats up, the space is 435 liters. With the CLA, all you can get out of the trunk is its maximum volume of 460 liters.
Behind the wheel
When it comes to driving the two vehicles, there are many similarities. One of the reasons for this is that the same three engines are used in both models. Consequently, in terms of performance, they are equivalent. However, it's interesting to note that because of its lower weight and body configuration, the CLA delivers slightly better performance. And because its center of gravity
is closer to the ground, it's more agile on winding roads. So if you really like sporty driving, the CLA is the car you'll have the most fun with. However, don't think that with the GLA, the fun is diluted. That's absolutely not the case.
