How to appropriately wash your vehicle’s interior
March 05 2020,
We all know that we are living in a very unique time period right now. We are more and more concerned about how clean our immediate environment is, and we want to make sure that we leave nothing to chance when it comes to keeping our vehicles clean and free from bacteria. Here are a few tips to do just that.
For starters, you want to make sure that you use the right product to clean the interior. You can use soap and water, or you can use a dedicated automotive interior cleaning product. The best solution, however, according to a recent study by Consumer Reports, is one that contains at least 70% alcohol. This may seem like a lot, but most of the products that you have in your house designed to clean and remove bacteria will meet this criterion.
Next, you want to make sure that you thoroughly rub the sensitive areas of your vehicle’s interior. You will not damage any of the materials inside your car. Make sure that you clean the steering wheel, transmission lever, door handles, seatbelts, armrests, and center buttons and touchscreen thoroughly. Do this every single time you use your vehicle and make sure that if somebody else uses your vehicle, they wash their hands before getting in. These tips will make sure that your vehicle does not become an agent for transmitting bacteria.
