How to Protect Your Vehicle for Wintertime
November 26 2020,
In the summer, we often see people spending hours scrubbing their cars to make sure they are immaculate. In winter, with the cold weather, this task is more difficult. However, that doesn't mean that we can't take steps to protect it during these difficult months. Here are three small ways to do this.
1 - A paint sealer
A paint sealer is a protective layer that is applied to the surface. It is usually made from synthetic ingredients, polymers and car wax to make it last longer. The sealant is designed to protect the paint from exposure to UV rays and contaminants. We know that the latter are numerous in winter! The protection usually lasts up to six months, but it can cover a longer period if you use your vehicle infrequently.
2 - What about the interior?
Generally, the interior does not always receive the same attention as the exterior, which is treated with regular washing, even polishing and waxing. However, the condition of the interior and seats is an important factor in the resale value of your car. That's why the use of seat sealants is a good way to maintain the resale value of your car. The same goes for all interior surfaces that can be protected. Ask your dealer about the range of products available.
3 - Floor mats
This is probably the first purchase you should make to protect your vehicle in the winter. The presence of floor mats, whose purpose is to collect all the debris and contaminants that can damage the interior and floors of your vehicle, has miraculous effects. And we're talking about a minor investment considering its benefits.
