More equipment for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC
October 28 2020,
For 2021, Mercedes-Benz is enhancing the already generous offer of its GLC SUV. The presentation of the model's features was done recently, and the most noticeable improvement in the offer is the improvement of the model's features.
It should be noted that the first information about the 2021 version has been received from the United States. Although we expect to benefit from the same additions, keep in mind that certain differences could characterize Canadian versions, as is often the case with Mercedes-Benz, particularly in terms of aesthetics.
Fortunately here, the changes are mostly about the GLC’s equipment. In fact, the company has decided to add a host of amenities to all the variants, in addition to making accessible certain options that were previously only available within a specific group of options. As a result, you benefit from more flexibility when building your 2021 GLC. Note that it is still offered with the GLC 300 as the base version or with a 4-door coupe style, as well as in AMG 43 and AMG 63 S varian.
Powertrain options range from a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine (255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque) to a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 (503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque) and a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 (385 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque). All-wheel drive is standard everywhere, as is a nine-gear automatic transmission.
The equipment, now. It's simple, the GLC offers more than ever right out of the box. For 2021, we've added passive keyless entry (doors or tailgate), automatic parking functions (parallel and perpendicular), as well as rear crosswalk alert. With the 63 version, the 360-degree camera is now standard.
Fortunately, the latter is now available as an individual option, as is a hands-free tailgate and the system that informs you if your parked vehicle has been damaged (Parking Damage Detection). It will also be possible in 2021 to individually select automatic low beam, a safety feature that is of great interest to those who often drive on poorly lit roads at night.
A new silver color named Cirrus is also added to the list of colors offered.
Otherwise, the 2021 GLC is as well equipped as ever with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications, the incredible MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system, roof rails, LED headlights, adaptive suspension, 18-inch wheels and a power-opening tailgate.
More than ever, the 2021 GLC offers you more. Don't hesitate to keep an eye out for its arrival at the dealership. And by the way, for the letters GLC, it goes like this; the C for the reference to the compact class and the C-Class chassis, and the letters GL for the German word Geländwagen, which means all-terrain vehicle.
