The DYNAMIC SELECT system from Mercedes-Benz: your personal engineer on board

Mercedes-Benz products have always been known for their high level of comfort. That was true yesterday and it is still true today, even more so than ever, thanks to the DYNAMIC SELECT system. Even better, this system allows us to adapt the vehicle's chassis according to conditions. In fact, it's like having your own personal engineer on board.
With a controller located in the centre console, you can play with the suspension settings to achieve a ride that's comfortable, sporty, winter-oriented or adapted to an off-road environment. It's also possible to customize each of the DYNAMIC SELECT system's parameters to suit your needs in terms of engine, transmission and steering performance.
Let's see what each of these options puts forward.
By opting for Comfort Mode, you get balanced settings in all chapters. Fuel economy is prioritized with early shifting at the transmission level. When starting the vehicle, this mode prevails.
By shifting the controller to the Sport position, the suspension senses sharpen, and you discover a more agile and dynamic driving experience. Shift points are modified, and the steering is more responsive. In addition, when the vehicle is equipped with the AIRMATIC package, the shocks are tighter, the suspension is set to a more sporty setting and it lowers the vehicle by more than 15 mm.
The Slippery setting adjusts engine and transmission parameters to optimize handling and grip on slippery surfaces. The sensitivity of the electronic stability system is also adjusted accordingly.
As for the Offroad mode, it optimizes the response of all mechanical components to facilitate off-road driving. This setting works in concert with 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
Finally, it's possible to individualize each of the parameters to achieve the driving experience you want, for example, with aggressive steering adjustment but a smooth suspension.
In fact, DYNAMIC SELECT allows you to change the DNA of your vehicle every time you get behind the wheel.
